The emergency team triages every patient, stabilises serious conditions and works with surgery, imaging and intensive care. For life-threatening emergencies, call the emergency number immediately.

Your doctor will explain the benefits, risks and alternatives, and answer your questions before you agree to the procedure.

You will receive written preparation instructions when the procedure is booked. Tell the team about all medicines you take, especially blood thinners.

Recovery depends on the procedure and your general health. The team will tell you what to expect and when to return for follow-up.
